Job Description
The Steel Detailer position requires the preparation of detailed shop and erection drawings for steel structures like buildings and bridges, ensuring accurate fabrication and erection of steel components like columns, beams, and trusses. Assignments are completed using computer-aided design (CAD) Tekla software to create these plans, collaborating with the company’s Project Managers and in-house shop fabricators to ensure the designs meet structural requirements and industry standards.
This is an in-house position only as field measurements and onsite inspections are necessary to accurately complete the duties.
Qualifications
In addition to the above requirements the Detailer 2 position requires a 4-year college degree in an Engineering discipline as the responsibilities focus more on vertical building structures which frequently require connection design and the utilization of advanced 3D rendering and modeling software.
